Ballerina Green Smoothie



Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Month

      June is Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Month! Smoothies are a great way to incorporate fruits and vegetables in your diet. They are especially convenient if you have a busy lifestyle and need to have a meal “on the go”. Try this Green Smoothie recipe!

 Green Smoothie      

Ingredients:      

-1 large orange, peeled and segmented
      
-1/2 of a large banana, cut into chunks      
-
6 large strawberries
2 cups spinach
      
-1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt (ie. Chobani )
      
-1 cup ice      


Directions:      

Put all of the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.  Pour into glasses and serve.             

Total Time: 5-10 minutes      

Serves: 2
