Get Amazing Arms With These Advanced Yoga Poses

If you've been to a few yoga classes, there's no doubt you've done your fair share of Sun Salutations that include Down Dogs and Chaturangas galore.

These basic poses all work your upper body, but if you're in the mood to try something new and more challenging, give these advanced yoga poses a whirl. Once I started practicing them regularly, I noticed a huge difference in my upper body strength and muscle definition.

Headstand B

Headstands are challenging enough for your upper body, but when you lower your legs so they're parallel with the floor, you'll end up working your arms and core immensely.

Side Crow

Crow pose is pretty common, so your arms are probably so used to doing it that it might even be easy for you. If that's the case, Side Crow will have you strengthening one side more than the other, so it's a killer move for your upper body. Just be sure to do this pose on both sides.

Forearm Stand

This inversion requires you to hold yourself up by balancing on your forearms. You'll instantly feel this in your shoulders and upper back.
